Need to Second Review / Appeal a denied bill?
Depending on the State selected for the Injury, the Action Bar will display the selection to either Second Review or Appeal . If California is selected every bit the Injury State, the choice to 2d Review volition display. For all other states, the pick to Appeal volition display instead.
In California, 2nd Reviews must be submitted within xc days of the Original EOR. A bill not compliantly contested within 90 days of original processing is deemed satisfied. Neither the claims administrator nor the employee is liable for farther payment.

Step i. With the Neb in 'Processed' status, get to the Bill Page, then click 'Second Review' / 'Appeal'
In order to submit a Second Review / Appeal , a bill must be in Candy status. If the bill is non in Processed status, manually mail the reimbursement amount to the original bill. For more assist, see the Help Article: Post: Newspaper EOR .
Step 2. Cheque the box side by side to 'Procedure Code'
Bank check this box to request a 2nd Review / Appeal of all service line items on the denied bill.
Step 3. Select or enter a 'Reason for Requesting Second Bill Review' / 'Reason for Requesting Appeal'
The information provided in the Reason for Requesting 2nd Bill Review / Entreatment automatically populates to all service line items on the denied bill. Select a listed reason or enter a Second Review / Appeal Reason . For more data, come across the Assistance Commodity: Apply 2d Review / Appeal Reasons .
The Reason for Requesting Second Neb Review / Appeal must directly address the denial reason provided in explanation of review (EOR). For example 2d Review / Appeal language meet the Help Article: Second Review / Appeal Example Linguistic communication .
Step 4. For Authorized Services, click 'Yeah' under 'Authorized?'
If no selection is made, this non-required field is left blank on the DWC Form SBR-1 / Appeal Letter of the alphabet.
Step 5. Optional: if attaching new Supporting Documentation, select 'Yes' under 'New Documents Attached'
Each Second Review / Entreatment submitted through DaisyBill includes the post-obit documents:
- DWC Course SBR-one / Appeal Letter of the alphabet
- Modified CMS-1500
- Paper EOR (if uploaded)
- DaisyBill Cover sheet with Final EOR due date
If no selection is made, this not-required field is left blank on the DWC Form SBR-i / Appeal Alphabetic character.
Step vi. Click 'Relieve'
Footstep vii. To edit the Second Review, click 'Edit 2nd Bill Review' / 'Edit Appeal'
Step 8. Optional: to edit private line items, uncheck the box side by side to 'Procedure Code'
Steps 3-5 are copied to each line item. Make individual changes to line items if necessary.
Step 9. Add together any boosted 'Documents', so click 'Send'

Step 10. From the pop-up window, select Second Review / Appeal Documents to submit with the 2nd Review
The pop-upward window displays a list of all Documents fastened to the Beak . If Yeah was selected for New Documents Attached in Step 5, the new documents are already selected for submission. If desired, select additional documents to transmit from Original Bill Documents .
Step 11. Choose a Delivery Method, so click 'Send'
